2010 Ride For Miles
The 2010 Ride For Miles will be at 10AM Sunday September 26. PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR THE FIRST TIME
THE RIDE WILL TAKE PLACE ON A SUNDAY.
All participants need to wear helmets while biking!

If you register online, please do so before noon on Saturday, September 25th.
Otherwise, day of registration will begin at 9 AM, Sunday, September 26th.

Route and Safety
The ride is about 15 miles and 80% of it is on divided roads.
Ride for Miles Street Route for 2010
1. Exit the
parking lot on the West side of the Dolan Science Center.
2. Turn left
(East) on Carroll Blvd and proceed until it intersects with Belvoir Blvd.
3.
Turn right (South) onto Belvoir Blvd.
4. Continue South
on S. Belvoir to Shelburne Rd.
5. Turn left
(East) on Shelburne Rd.
6. Turn right
(South) on Landon Rd.
7. Go across the
Green Rd. Bridge over Shaker Blvd and turn left (East).
8. Take Shaker
Blvd. to Gates Mills Blvd.
9. Continue on
Gates Mills Blvd. past Lander Rd. and SOM Center Rd.
10. Circle back where Gates Mills
Blvd. ends at Old Mill Rd. and return following the same route.

Dr. Miles Coburn Environmental Symposium
RIDE FOR MILES is a nonprofit organization established by family, friends, and colleagues
of Dr. Miles Coburn to educate people about the environment and bicycle safety.
The annual noncompetitive bicycle ride, Ride for Miles, raises funds for the
John Carroll University Biology Department's Miles Coburn Environmental Symposium.
This project continues Miles’ work of educating students and the community about the urgency of
environmental activism.
